Pele View has its own bench on the 'Bank Top' just behind the cottage, looking out to sea
Pele View Cottage is a stone-built fisherman's cottage
The view from the kitchen window
The spectacular beach at Druridge Bay is literally on the doorstep
Seven miles of sand and dunes, often with hardly a soul in sight !
The living area is beautifully furnished with large leather sofas. There is a smart TV with DVD
There is a log burner and the windows look across to the Pele Tower opposite
Close the shutters in the evening.....
...and light the log burner for a cosy night in
The stone walls give the cottage great character
Feel free to add to the sea-glass collection after your beach walks !
There is a great view from the lounge of the newly renovated medieval Pele Tower opposite, from which the cottage gets its name
The woods around the Pele Tower are full of snowdrops in Spring
The kitchen has a traditional feel and is fully equipped - the large dining table is lit by an overhead lantern. All lighting is dimmable to create the perfect atmosphere
The under-cupboard lighting enhances the original stone walls
The dining table seats six comfortably
The kitchen is separated from the living area by the beautiful oak staircase. There is a slate tiled floor throughout the ground floor.
There is a stupendous sea view from the rear of the cottage
With this view from the kitchen sink, you may want to wash the dishes instead of using the dishwasher !
The oak staircase complements the stone walls and slate floor
A barn owl is often seen hunting in the fields near the cottage, or in the dunes. This is the inspiration for the artwork in the cottage
The master bedroom is enormous, with a king-sized bed, a sofa and a TV
There is a fabulous view from the master bedroom across the field to the Pele Tower opposite
There are fitted wardrobes to store your holiday clothes and belongings
There is also a comfortable leather sofa in the master bedroom - great for a quiet read
The living room and master bedroom both have a great view of the medieval Pele Tower opposite
The Pele Tower is illuminated at night, which is very atmospheric
The second bedroom has comfortable twin oak beds furnished with quality linen, and a spectacular sea view
This is what you see when you open the shutters in the morning !
A great view to wake up to !
The bathroom has a bath and shower, and even offers a sea view through the quirky arrow-slit window
There is a small enclosed garden at the rear of the cottage - a great place to enjoy a glass of wine and enjoy the beautiful sea view
There is also a pretty rock garden at the rear, full of flowers in spring and summer
The 'Bank Top' at the rear of the cottages is where the fishermen used to store their boats. This one is still here !
The view out to sea from the Bank Top is a great stress-buster....
...both at sunrise (which is worth getting up for)....
....and at sunset.
Enjoy your stay at Pele View Cottage !
